Welcome to Airline Model Store. I hope you enjoy the unique collection of models and aviation toys. 

My passion for all things aviation and collecting airplane models started at a very young age. Growing up the son of a pilot the airport was like my second home. I can still recall the excitement I felt hearing and watching the planes takeoff and land.

It only feels like yesterday that I got my first toy airplane as a kid - a 1:400 American Airlines DC-10. I came across it in the toy aisle in our local grocery store. The plane was in their old polished metal scheme and had retractable landing gears, and I thought it was the most amazing toy ever. There wasn't anywhere I would go that I wouldn't take it with me. I would make engine sounds like the plane was taking off or landing and fly it all around my house and yard. 

I was 9-years old when I got my first collectors model. While flying home and changing planes at the Atlanta Hartsfield International Airport I struck up conversation with the Delta gate agent working our flight (as most 9-yr olds do) and shared with the agent my love for airplanes and Delta Air lines. I must have made quite the impression on the agent as they asked my father if Delta could send me a gift. Two weeks later an unmarked box arrived in the mail addressed to me. In it was a solid-resin 1:200 Delta Airlines L1011-500! I couldn't believe my eyes. That gift was the start of my hobby collecting airline models, which now is over 200 and counting.

The excitement I still get each time I receive a new model is something I want everyone from kids to avid collectors to experience. My love for flying and collecting airline models positively influenced me in more ways than I can count and became the inspiration for starting Airline Model Store.

Model airplanes are great to display in an office, decorate a living room, keep kids engaged & entertained, or a great gift to commemorate a special trip.
